Re-Entry Permission

The application for "The Re-Entry Permission".

The Re-Entry Permission is the Minister of Justice admits to simplify re-entering and re-landing procedure before leaving Japan when you reside in Japan and temporarily
need to go to other countries and to come back to Japan.

If you leave Japan without receiving this re-entry permission, you will lose the valid
resident status and the resident period you currently have.
And when you come back to Japan , you are required to obtain a new visa from Japan
embassy overseas in advance and then to apply for landing permission at a port of
entry.

If you have the re-entry permission, you will be exempted to get a visa when you re-
enter Japan and, moreover, it is considered that the resident status and the resident
period will be continued from the former one. The landing examination is conducted
simply and promptly.

There are two kinds of re-entry permissions, one that it is possible to use it many
times during the validity term, the other is allowed to use only once.
